Reading a Business Page

Everything on a business profile — contact actions, directions, hours, products and services, reviews, and how to suggest a correction.

Discovering Businesses/directory/businessBusinessDetailScreen

What you'll find

Every business page gathers what you need to decide and act: photos, the category, a description, Services or Specialties, Features & Amenities, and Business Information — location, service area, phone, email, website, social media, and full Business Hours (today is highlighted on mobile). At the bottom you'll find Similar Businesses (Related Businesses in the app).

Labels tell you more at a glance:

  • Founding Business — an early member of the platform (web).
  • Featured — highlighted by WABA (shown in the app, and on web directory cards).
  • Ownership labels such as Black-owned, Minority-owned, MBE certified, or DBE certified, when the business has provided them (web).
  • In the app, Management confirmed, Claim pending, or Unclaimed listing shows where the listing stands.

Quick actions

Buttons let you act immediately (they appear when the business has provided the info):

Web: The Quick Actions card has Call Business, Send Email, and Visit Website. Near the top of the page you'll also find Share (it copies the link if your device has no share menu), the heart to save the business, and Message for businesses that can receive messages.

Mobile: Use Call, Email, Website, and Directions (opens Google Maps), plus a location map right on the page.

Directions on the web: under Business Information → Location, Get directions offers Apple Maps and Google Maps, with a note saying whether the location is exact or unconfirmed.

Products and services

Businesses that sell on WABA show a Products & Services card with a few of their offerings, each marked Product or Service with its price. Click View all products & services to open the business's full catalog — see the guide on shopping from businesses.

Reviews and ratings

Web: The Customer Reviews card shows the average rating, a Rating Breakdown, and individual reviews you can sort by Newest First, Oldest First, Highest Rated, Lowest Rated, or Most Helpful.

Mobile: The rating and review count sit under the business name, and the Reviews section shows the five newest reviews.

Helping listings improve

Some listings were added from public data and are waiting for their owner.

  • Suggest a correction (web) or Correction (mobile) lets you flag incorrect details, a missing product or service, a closed or moved business, a duplicate listing, or something else. Add some Details and tap Send for review. You'll need to be signed in.
  • On a computer, the web page also shows a Profile Completeness score and, for incomplete listings, a Help Improve This Listing card listing what's missing.
  • If it's your business, use Claim your listing in the "Is this your business?" strip (web) or the Own this business? card (mobile) — see the claiming guide.
  • On mobile, the ⋯ button lets you report a listing that's inappropriate or fraudulent.
