How to Delete Your Account

1. Log in to your WABA account on the web app or the mobile app.
2. Navigate to Settings.
3. Open the Security tab (on the mobile app, Settings → Security).
4. Select "Delete Account" and confirm your identity by entering your password.
5. Optionally provide a reason for leaving, then confirm the deletion.

What Happens Immediately

The moment you confirm deletion, your account is deactivated and can no longer be used to sign in. Right away we:

• Revoke all active sessions and authentication credentials, and remove your saved passwords, multi-factor devices, push tokens, and connected third-party integrations
• Erase the personal details on your profile (name, bio, photos, contact email, preferences) and replace your identity with an anonymous “Deleted User” placeholder
• Anonymize content that other people still see — direct messages the other person received, reviews and comments on businesses, and community posts. The content remains for the people you shared it with, but it is no longer linked to you
• If you are the sole owner of a claimed business, ownership is transferred to another member of that business, or the listing is made ownerless — your business is never deleted along with your account

What Is Permanently Deleted Within 90 Days

The rest of your personal data is held during a 90-day grace period and is then permanently and irreversibly erased. This includes:

• Your favorites and saved businesses
• Your notifications, rewards points and history, event tickets and RSVPs
• Your AI chat history, files and uploads, and personal activity and analytics records
• Your friendships, blocks, presence, and other personal relationship data
• The minimal deletion archive described below

What Is Retained (and Why)

For legal, security, and fraud-prevention purposes we keep a limited set of records:

• A minimal archive (email, account role, deletion date, and reason if provided), kept for up to 90 days and then permanently purged
• A compliance audit-log entry recording that the deletion took place, and any financial or tax records we are legally required to retain
• Anonymized or aggregated analytics that cannot be linked back to you

Data Export

Before deleting your account, you can export a copy of your data. Visit Settings → Data Export to request a download in JSON, CSV, or PDF format.
