Child safety standards

Protecting children is non-negotiable.

These standards are WABA's rules against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), how to report a concern, and how we respond. Effective June 5, 2026.

Our commitment

We Are Black America ("WABA") has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Such content and conduct are strictly prohibited on our platform, and we act on every credible report.

WABA operates a community platform connecting Black-owned businesses, consumers, and communities across the United States. Protecting children from exploitation is a non-negotiable condition of using our services.

These standards describe what we prohibit, how users and the public can report concerns, how we respond, and how to reach our designated point of contact. They are published in compliance with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy.

What is prohibited

The following are strictly prohibited on WABA and will result in content removal, account termination, and reporting to the appropriate authorities:

Child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
Any image, video, or other depiction of the sexual abuse or exploitation of a minor, including computer-generated, AI-generated, or otherwise synthetic depictions.
Grooming and solicitation
Any attempt to befriend, manipulate, or coerce a minor for sexual purposes, including soliciting sexual content, contact, or a meeting.
Sextortion
Threatening or blackmailing a minor with the use of intimate imagery, or coercing the production of such imagery.
Trafficking and exploitation
Any advertisement, facilitation, or promotion of the trafficking or sexual exploitation of a minor.
Endangerment
Content or conduct that sexualizes minors, or that otherwise puts a child's safety or wellbeing at risk.

Prevention and detection

We combine policy, technology, and human review to keep our platform safe:

  • User-generated content (profiles, posts, comments, messages, and uploaded media) is subject to our Community Guidelines and Terms of Service, which prohibit CSAE.
  • We maintain moderation processes to review reported content and accounts, and we remove violating material as quickly as possible.
  • Accounts used to engage in CSAE are terminated, and we take steps to prevent the offender from returning.
  • Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly permit them to create accounts.

How to report child safety concerns

If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local law enforcement or emergency services first.
