The channels

WABA can reach you by push notifications on your device, by email, and in the in-app notification center on both platforms. Web and mobile share the same core switches; the mobile app adds per-notification controls, Conversation-level controls, Quiet Hours, and a push test.

Fine-tuning on mobile

Open the My Account tab and tap Notification Settings:

  1. Push Notifications and Email Notifications are the master switches. Turn both off and activity alerts pause entirely (the app warns you).
  2. Under Activity, Messages covers direct messages and conversation activity, Event Reminders covers events you're attending, Community Updates covers community activity and posts, and Rewards covers points, redemptions, and reward updates. Messages and Rewards are saved to your account, so they match your notification preferences on the web.
  3. Per-notification controls — a grid grouped by category (Events, Account, Security, Messages, Reviews, System, Rewards, Achievements). Each type has its own Email, Push, and App switch. Required security notices always appear in-app; their email and push remain optional.
  4. Conversation notifications — control live-audio pushes individually: Live audio in your Conversations, Friends in audio, You're promoted to speaker, New meetups, and Audio invites.
  5. Under Marketing, Promotional Emails opts you in or out of special offers, and Weekly Digest switches your notification emails to one weekly summary (turn it off to go back to immediate emails).

Changes save as you flip them. Use Send Test Notification at the bottom to make sure pushes reach your phone.

Quiet Hours

Don't want a 2 a.m. ping? On mobile, turn on Enable Quiet Hours and set a Start Time and End Time (out of the box, 10 PM to 7 AM, in your device's time zone). Push notifications are silenced during that window — they aren't delivered later, so check your inbox in the morning.

Note: Speaker promotions in live audio still come through during quiet hours — they're tied to a session you're actively in.

On the web

Web Settings → Notifications has switches for Email Notifications, Push Notifications, Marketing Emails, Event Notifications, and Community Updates — the same preferences the mobile app saves. Changes save automatically as you flip them. For per-notification controls, Conversation controls, and quiet hours, use the mobile app.

Your notification inbox

Web: The Notifications Hub collects everything — search it, use Filter (type, priority, status), switch between All and Unread, use the category tabs, and click Mark all as read to reach inbox zero. Smart Summary can Generate AI summary of your last 7 days, or Email this digest to send that 7-day digest to your inbox. Open it from the bell menu → View all notifications.

Mobile: The Notifications screen has filter chips (All, Events, Messages, Friends, Rewards, System), Mark all read, and swipe-left to delete. Tapping a notification jumps straight to the thing it's about.
