How Rewards Points Work
Earn points for participating in the community — here's every way to earn, the daily limits, and what points are worth.
The idea
WABA rewards you for showing up. Reviews, referrals, events, stories — the actions that make the community stronger earn you points, and points unlock real rewards in the shop. As a rule of thumb, 100 points is worth about one dollar of shop value, and you need at least 500 points before you can redeem.
Requires: You need an account to earn points — every action is tied to your profile.
Ways to earn
The big earners:
- Refer a friend who joins — 200 points
- Complete onboarding — 150 points
- Attend a community event (confirm attendance afterward) — 100 points
- Share a success story — 100 points
- Complete your profile — 100 points
- Add a new business to the directory — 75 points
- Write a business review — 50 points (up to 5 reviews a day)
Everyday actions add up too:
- Daily login — 10 points, once a day
- Upload a profile photo — 25 points
- Share platform content — 15 points (up to 5 a day)
- Mark a review helpful — 5 points (up to 20 a day)
- Send messages — 2 points each (up to 10 a day)
Achievements pay out too. Every time you unlock an achievement, its point value lands in your balance — a one-time payout per achievement, on top of the badge itself. Completing challenges pays their bonus points as well.
Points land instantly, and you'll get a notification for meaningful awards.
Tier bonuses
As your lifetime balance grows you reach status tiers, and each tier adds a bonus percentage to every point you earn from then on:
- Bronze — Community Supporter (1,000 points): +5% on every earn
- Silver — Community Champion (5,000 points): +10%
- Gold — Community Legend (10,000 points): +15%
The bonus is applied automatically in the same moment you earn — a Silver member writing a 50-point review earns 50 plus a 5-point bonus, shown as a separate line in your history. Bonuses are rounded down to whole points.
Limits, streaks, and fair play
- Most actions have daily caps (shown above) and short cooldowns so points reflect genuine activity — repeating the same action past the cap earns nothing more that day.
- Actions must be distinct: reviewing the same business twice, for example, doesn't double-pay.
- Your Daily Streak counts consecutive days with any point-earning activity. Keep it alive with something as small as a daily login — miss a day and it resets. Streaks feed streak-based achievements.
Checking your balance
Web: Rewards → Points shows four cards — Available Points, Points Earned, Points Redeemed, and Daily Streak — plus recent activity and progress toward redemption.
Mobile: Open Rewards from the side menu or My Account → Quick Access. The screen leads with your points balance, weekly gains, and streak, with quick links to Challenges, Achievements, Leaderboard, Redeem points, History, and Redemptions.
Points stay valid for 12 months. The expiry clock starts when the program launched — so nothing you earned before then expires early — and you'll get a heads-up notification 30 days before any points are due to lapse. Redeem them in the shop before they expire.
