Hosting an Event
How events get onto WABA, what to include, and how to send the team your event using Host an event.

Who publishes events
Events on WABA are published by the WABA team. Members don't have a self-serve event form on web or mobile — instead, you tell the team about your event and they follow up.
Note: Business events go through the same team review — see the business guide on events for promotion and sponsorship options.
Sending the team your event
- On the Events page or Community → Events, click Host an event.
- The contact form opens under "Host an event." Add your First name, Last name, and Email (and your business, if it's about one).
- In Message, include the event name, date, city, and what it's about.
- Click Send message. You'll see "Message sent. We'll be in touch soon."
What an event listing includes
Here's what makes up a complete listing — include what you can in your message:
- Title and description — what it is and why people should come
- A cover image (landscape works best)
- Date and time, plus an end time for longer events
- Venue name and address, or a virtual link for online events
- A category, like networking, workshop, conference, or festival
- Price (or free) and any capacity limit
- Optional speakers, a schedule (run of show), and a registration link or deadline
